NAMM, the International Music Products Association, has just about the largest music products show in the world every January. And here is the winner of the Best in Show award for the Best New Accessory at NAMM’s huge January 2008 musical products convention. Dean Markley‘s Vintage Electric Re-Issue strings, re-released at the 2008 NAMM show, are nickel-plated steel hand-wound slowly over a round core, which affords the outer string wrap to have 100% contact with the core wire. This allows the string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock and roll. Yes, this Re-Issued Vintage Electric is the exact same string, with the exact same formula, as the original Vintage Electric that became so world famous. And to this very day, these Vintage Electrics hold their tone and last longer than any other electric string—bar none! This special re-creation of the original string formula celebrates a return to vintage tones that modern players continue to demand. REG – .010 .013 .017 .026 .036 .046
